On the Creation of our Brand Message

Utsunomiya Seisaku (at the time Utsunomiya Shouten) was established during the latter Meiji Period as a medical-use rubber product wholesaler. During these times, Japan relied on expensive imports for medical products, while awareness of hygiene and quality management in the domestic industrial world was low and there was no aim towards a transition to domestic production.
The very next year after our establishment in 1904, the Russo-Japanese War began, demand for medical products skyrocketed and low-quality products began to circulate the country. Japan fell into a state of urgency for medicine on the battlefields and domestically.
During this state of emergency, as our founder Utsunomiya Usaku took a thorough approach to quality management and began to prevent the circulation of low-quality products, he became active in the research and development of medical-use products that "anyone can use worry-free".
This determination of our company's establishment allowed us to build up a high level of trust in the quality we produce and became the foundation for our business to greatly expand through delivering our many developed products out into the world.
